Why Should We Use These Environmentally Friendly & Healthier Paints?
For many years people worked with lead-based paints. Soon research brought to light its harmful effects. The paint industry found an alternative which came in an acrylic form which is still used today. However this product still uses solvents which can be harmful and irritating to those that use it and those who are around it.
A report from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) linked working with solvent-based paints with an increased risk of developing cancer. The IRAC said "exposure to solvent-based paints is carcinogenic (group1)" Scandinavian countries were aware of this and moved towards solvent-free based paints. In Denmark their paints are 90% water-based.

Eco-Friendly and Odourless Paints
A report from the Union of Construction Allied Trades & Technicians (UCATT) published the results of a survey about people working with solvent-based paints, including the DIY sector. It reported on harmful effects that were due to solvent-based paints. The most common of these were headaches, giddiness, nausea and runny eyes. By using eco friendly and odourless paints you can eliminate these undesirable effects.
Most of ingredients used in synthetic paint are derived from crude oil or mined from minerals which are non renewable, and hence unsustainable. Synthetic paint manufacture is extremely wasteful, producing 10 times their own weight in toxic waste, i.e. for one tonne of paint, 10 tonnes of toxic waste is created. |

testimonials from satisfied clients
"We chosed Peter to decorate our children's bedrooms
using organic paints because we were concerned
about the smell that oil-based paints have. The
results were amazing!
The kids were able to
sleep
in their rooms that same
night without
any
discomfort from paint smells."
Mel Rumbold - Rugby
“It was wonderful to have my lounge and kitchen
painted
in odourless paint. I could not believe
that
I could
sit in my room the same day
as
it was painted and
without
smelling any paint fumes.”
Mrs Olive Attenbrough
(78 years young) Nottingham.
“Peter made us aware of natural paints. We
were
astonished that the decorating took less time than it would have done if we were using
normal
oil based paints. We were also
surprised
that every time we walked
into
the house
there were no lingering
paint
smells
affecting us or the children.”
Claire & Richard Collier - Chessington, Surrey
